There will likely be a remix of Stormzy’s song “Hide & Seek” soon.
FLO stated they’d love to collaborate with Stormzy in a Capital XTRA interview from last month. The pop group posted the video on a brand-new TikTok earlier today (January 3), writing, “It’s happening! With Stormzy, FLO. Coming soon is our remix of “Hide & Seek.”
The track “Hide & Seek” is from Stormzy’s third album, “This Is What I Mean,” and it features vocals from Nigerian vocalists Oxlade, yanna, and Teni on the album version (via Genius). Tems contributed to writing the song.
Stormzy published a statement in advance of the release of his third album urging listeners to listen to “This Is What I Mean” with “an open heart.”
He said, “If you don’t like it after I make a vow to God, that’s fine with me; I’m just thankful you listened with an open mind. Stormzy previously acknowledged he had “made peace” with the possibility that no one would find “This Is What I Mean” to be enjoyable. His “contemplative third studio album delivers his most serene and mature moments yet,” according to NME’s four-star review.
On August 18, 2023, Stormzy will headline All Points East 2023 alongside a carefully chosen roster. He most recently appeared on Bree Runway’s surprise EP “Woah, What A Blur!”
The BRITS Rising Star Award for 2023, which has previously been won by Adele, Celeste, Florence & The Machine, Sam Fender, Ellie Goulding, Griff, and Holly Humberstone, was announced this month as having gone to FLO.
The group just made their Jimmy Kimmel Live! debut with the viral tune “Cardboard Box,” which is taken from their self-titled first EP. Last month, FLO also released the euphoric new song “Losing You.”
