Angela Simmons took a minute to rejoice in her relationship with Yo Gotti, declaring her happiness just a few days after the couple announced their engagement on Instagram.
Simmons and the CMG rap mogul confirmed their suspected romance with a romantic New Year’s Eve photograph, and the daughter of Run-Rev DMC’s Run shared her thoughts on her new relationship on Instagram Stories.
“Happier than I’ve ever been,” she added, accompanied by a flurrying heart emoji.
Yo Gotti and Angela Simmons had been reported to be dating for years, with Gotti notably expressing his love on his 2015 track “Down in the DM,” which reached No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“And I just followed Angela (Simmons) / Boy, I’ve got a crush on Angela Simmons / They’re like, ‘Damn Gotti, you brazen’ / Fuck it, I’m gon’ let the world know (goals),” he rapped. Gotti also lamented Simmons in his 2017 song “Save It For Me,” which was released shortly after Simmons married Sutton Tennyson.

“I gave Angela my phone number / I believed I had her / Her n***a cuffed her, married, that made me angrier/ I respect it, I’m moving on, but the fact is I want her badder/ Maybe me sayin’ her name made him go faster,” he rapped.
Rumors resurfaced in September when the duo was photographed celebrating Simmons’ 35th birthday together.
Gotti uploaded a video of Simmons in a black dress and evening gloves alongside a Rolls-Royce as part of their steamy New Year’s Eve photoshoot.
“You looking nice,” he says after wishing the Growing Up Hip Hop star a happy New Year. “Mmm gracias,” she says.
